Alaine Becker has received a fellowship from the New Jersey State Council of the Arts for Works on Paper and a grant from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation for a full month artist residency at the Vermont Studio Center. Becker has exhibited throughout New Jersey, including the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, the Pierro Gallery, Montclair State University, Seton Hall University Law School, and City Without Walls. She holds a BFA from the State University of New York College at Purchase.


Alaine lives in South Orange, NJ where she works out of her garage studio designed by her architect husband Paul Golden. She and Paul have three children who were 19, 22, and 26 at the time of the interview.
